At Leeds Locksmiths we have set prices, no call out charges, full telephone quotations and we’ve been told on many occasions we’re the cheapest in Leeds! We don’t look for quick fixes on our pricing because we strive for repeat business and word of mouth recommendations.

Leeds Locksmiths are one of the very few locksmiths across the country that also has a female operative. Each locksmith has a fully stocked van, key cutting machines and the ability to conduct auto locksmiths (cars) if required. We will always have the right equipment on board to gain non-destructive entry where possible.

As a company we only stock British Standard locks, and are insurance approved locksmiths. We cover work for the electricity, gas and water boards and are available 24:7. There will never be a time when the phone is switched off. We aim to deliver exactly what we say we will. No ‘if’s’ and no ‘but’s’ – if we agree a price we’ll stick to it.

We firmly believe that when it comes to locksmith work people are already in the process of questioning their current security measures –and generally are concerned about the robustness against today’s society. Certainly it seems that gangs of burglars and thieves find a new way into people’s houses and exploit it over a very short period of time. At Leeds Locksmiths we are always keeping one step ahead – so as quickly as a new ‘breaking and entering’ technique is revealed we will aim to solve the problem with a new security measure.

The latest technique across many towns and cities is snapping euro cylinders on uPVC doors – the criminals snap the cylinder out of the lock – push it through, flick the latch in the mechanism and ’hey presto’ open the door. With this in mind Leeds Locksmiths will supply and fit on request ‘anti-snap cylinders’. These types of cylinders have 3 snapping points as opposed 1 – and it means that when the cylinder is snapped it leaves the latch protected and therefore the mechanism still in the locked position.

The final string in our bow is our auto locksmith section – over this winter period the demand has been phenomenal for this service. With the cold snap biting hard, we’ve all been out on the driveway, started the car, left it running to defrost and warm up whilst we get the kids ready, feed the dog and finish washing the dishes. Shut the house door behind us, walk to the car and realise the car has locked itself – keys sat in the ignition, car happily running away and you left stranded on the driveway! With this in mind – Leeds Locksmiths don’t charge anything more on our labour rate and ‘up’ the response time to 20 minutes as opposed to within the hour!

The company is single handily run by one woman (Frantic Locks) who during the recession was made redundant from her managerial position and decided to change careers. Leeds Locksmiths is going from strength to strength – and it’s all down to the “it does what it says on the tin” philosophy.
